To ensure a ready and capable workforce, we work closely with members and stakeholders to ensure that licenses, certifications and continued education credits are up to date.  We help lighten the load for Employers and Project Owners by pre-screening both stakeholders and members to ensure that requirements are met before making any referrals or recommendations

In January 2010, BCMBC received federal funding from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration to train community members in green jobs in the build industry. The project was originally dubbed the Broward County Energy Training Partnership, but quickly expanded to serve residents of Miami-Dade County creating the new moniker; The South Florida Green Jobs Collaborative (SFGJC). The BCCRC is a direct product of the successes of this program. Students trained through the SFGJC continue to hone and develop their skills at the BCCRC. Partners and collaborators of the SFGJC continue to work with the Business Development Team through the efforts of the BCCRC.

The South Florida Green Jobs Collaborative (SFGJC) was a successful program led by BCMBC from January 2010 through August 2012. These pages archive the efforts, outcomes and resources of the SFGCJ and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration.
